Product FAQ
Should I adjust the Wink app settings to the one already on my alarm, or the other way around?
Adjust the Wink app dip switches to match the switches on your alarm, not the other way around.
Can I have more than one Kidde alarm?
You can connect multiple alarms, but the Wink App will recognize it as a single alarm system. This means they will be controlled together as one, not controlled individually. Additionally, if one alarm senses smoke or carbon monoxide, all alarms will be triggered and you will receive a notification.
How can I maximize the amount of notifications I get when my alarm goes off?
Using in-app Robots you can set the number of notifications you'll receive in the event of an emergency.
What if the dip switch orientation fails during the connection process?
Try orienting the dip switches only up or only down. This will ensure that a dip switch is fully in place and not stuck between either orientation.

Using Wink
Sign Up
Open the Wink app on your mobile device and log in with your email address and password. If this is your first time using the Wink app, tap Sign Up to create an account.
Add Product
Tap "Add a Product," then tap "Alarms," then tap "Smoke Alarm." Follow the instructions on the Wink app.
Set Pattern
Set the dip switch pattern in the Wink app to match the randomized dip switch pattern on your Kidde alarm.
Pair
After setting your pattern, you will land on an app screen where the "Next" button is greyed out, leaving you unable to continue further into the pairing instructions. This is where the Wink Hub / Wink Hub 2 broadcasts its pairing signal. Insert the batteries and press the "Test" button on the smoke alarm, and you will hear it go through its testing mode. You will get a green flash of light on the Wink Hub / Wink Hub 2 and see the word "Success" inside the app when the device successfully pairs. Congratulations, you are connected to your Kidde Smoke Alarm!
